Every year we have the pleasure of staying at our friend Sarah’s family ranch. It’s quite a drive located all the way up in North Central Washington in the Methow Valley – but worth it every time. Sarah actually grew up in this winter wonderland, but now her parents live in a smaller home on the property and run the lodge as a vacation rental.
This year marks our fifth year in a row we have been able to join a group of close friends for a few days of relaxation and shenanigans. While I find myself primarily chilling out and eating for two, there is plenty to do outside. Snowshoeing, hiking, hanging out with the horses, and our signature past time of hitching up inner tubes to the back of snow mobiles and dragging each other around at (what feels like) breakneck speeds.
This sweet husband of mine spends a lot of time taking in the landscape and looking handsome and thoughtful.
…this guy also spends his time looking handsome and thoughtful. Also pooping.
Until next time Vista Grande Ranch! Love, Piet and Keven
