After how much we loved our fall maternity shoot with friend and local photographer, Simona Graszl, we decided to go ahead and book her amazing Year in a Life program. Not only does she take beautifully natural photographs, but I feel very comfortable leaving the creative bit to her (and thats big for me because I love to plan stuff like that). The other huge benefit to her program is that as a brand new mom, she takes care of the scheduling for you. On top of everything else that you are juggling, you don’t have to be thinking about the next photoshoot. You can just enjoy this precious time with your new babe.
She came by the house when Teddie was eight days old. We got a nice spot with good light and a space heater going so Teddie could stay warm while wearing a few less clothing items. Then I took the chance to get some things done around the house and let them be. I can’t believe how much she has grown since then! Her little knitted bonnet fits nice and snug on her head now.
Teddie was such a ham for these photos! I think because she was two weeks late, she was a little more alert and awake than other newborns. Look at those sweet little feet wrapped up in this lovely merino wool blanket her English Grandma bought for her. The other fabrics are a combination of some of my scarves, the same wool blanket we used in our maternity shoot, and our favorite lemon muslin wrap I special ordered from Little Unicorn. <3
We are already looking forward to the next shoot when Teddie can hold her head up on her own. I am hoping mama feels good enough to make an appearance in a couple pics too 🙂
